Harihareshwar Beach
This beach is still considered to be one of the virgin beaches in Maharashtra. There are two beaches namely Shrivardhan and Divegar beach. The beaches are well maintained and a perfect place for people of all age groups to sit back and relax.
Ganesh Gully
Yet another sacred and renowned destination at Harihareshwar, Ganesh Gully is a narrow lane that emerges between two mountains. At the end of the lane, one can sight a lord Ganapati idol that is normally submerged in water. During the low tide days, tourists get to spot the head of the idol that emerges from the water.
Kalbhairav Temple
Dedicated to Hindu god Shiva, Kalbhairav temple is often visited by spiritual travellers. The interesting tales and stories revolving around this temple will keep you intrigued. The temple has a unique architecture with the sea breeze flowing through it all over. The temple complex is huge and overlooks the sea making it a beautiful place for one to relax and become one with god.
Bhagmandala
If you want to enjoy a rural touch to your vacation, then a visit to Bhagmandala in Harihareshwar is a must. This dainty village is located at a distance of few kilometres from the main town. The main population living here is that of the local fishermen. The interesting homes and life of this fishermen attracts a number of tourists to come and spend a day at Bhagmandala. Another main attraction here is the ferry ride and the jungle jetty which takes the boat into the forests.
While Harihareshwar is still not one of the most popularised tourist destinations, it continues to be a quiet and relaxed vacation destination in Maharasthra. It is one of the few beach destinations in the western India, that is not so crowded and continues to remain unadulterated.
